We usually stick with our usual plants but this year we were feeling adventurous so we added celery to the garden mix!  For time reference the seedlings were transplanted to the garden on May 17 and then celery was picked in September!  We still have a few plants growing!

Even though celery has a reputation of being difficult, we found it to be a pretty no nonsense plant once the seedlings were in the ground. We did have some issues with our seeds in the beginning so I agree with others that celery germination isn’t easy! Celery will be a permanent staple in the garden for years to come!  The celery we picked is so crisp and delicious! And the smell! I wish I could have you guys smell the celery because it smells AMAZING! Have you ever grown celery?  Let me know in the comments if you grew anything new this year! PS.  I’m super embarrassed by the amount of weeds you see in the photos above, but having a baby in the middle of garden season has you skipping garden chores! We’re going to have a lot of weeding to do in the Spring!  I can’t wait to put Enceladus to work!
