I’m obsessed with these Snowman Peanut Butter Balls. They are delicious. They are super cute. Does a holiday treat need to be anything more than that? Plus, they are snowmen! There’s nothing about a snowman that I don’t fall in love with.

Ingredients In Snowman Peanut Butter Balls

This recipe uses 5 ingredients and the 2 stars of the show are graham crackers and creamy peanut butter.  You can use Skippy, Jif or another brand that you like, just make sure it’s creamy.  The peanut butter gives it that classic peanut butter ball taste we all love. The graham crackers hold it all together and gives it a nice texture to bite into. Aside from the peanut butter and graham crackers, here’s the lineup of ingredients:

Butter Powdered confectioners’ sugar Shredded coconut for rolling

How Do You Make Snowman Peanut Butter Balls?

Start this recipe by melting the peanut butter and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Meanwhile, you’ll want to crumble up your graham crackers. You can throw them in a food processor and pulse a few times or you can be like me and get all that holiday stress out by grabbing a potato masher and going to town on them in a bowl. See, this recipe is a workout too! You’ll feel great afterwards.

Now, mix the graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a bowl. Pour the hot peanut butter mixture in with the graham cracker crumb mixture and mix well, so all ingredients get fully combined. Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator to chill for 3 hours. This is going to firm up the dough, so you can easily roll the balls. Once chilled, roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll the balls in the shredded coconut.

To make a snowman, stack 3 balls on top of each other. Get extra festive and decorate the snowmen with noses, arms and hats! I use orange Tic Tacs for noses, twigs or grape stems for arms, and mini Santa hats! You can definitely leave them plain, but I just love the way they look with some Tic Tac noses and twig arms. So cute!

How Long Do Snowman Peanut Butter Balls Last?

Store the peanut butter balls in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. You can also freeze your peanut butter balls for up 2 months.

Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Balls:

If you don’t care to make snowmen with the peanut butter balls you can just roll with shredded coconut or swap the shredded coconut for chocolate. Melt chocolate chips with shortening, or simply use candy melts, no shortening needed! Dip half of the balls (or the whole ball) in semisweet or white chocolate and then roll them in holiday sprinkles. Red and green sprinkles are so festive. But you can use different sprinkle colors to match whatever occasion you’re celebrating. You can also just leave off the sprinkles altogether. There are so many ways to decorate peanut butter balls! The tiny Santa hats I found in my craft drawer, could not be cuter on these little snowmen! They’re so festive and happy! If you want to complete a gingerbread house scene, try these cute Christmas trees, pictured below. Here’s an easy tutorial on how to make them edible. They’re perfect for props and gingerbread houses! All you need is ice cream cones, royal icing and green food coloring. Mix the icing and food coloring together to get your desired green color. Then turn the ice cream cone upside down and start piping the icing around the cone until you reach the top. Simple as that! These are so easy to make and I think they really add something special to a gingerbread house! Plus, snowmen need a place to live, so I’ve made them a little cabin using graham crackers, icing and peanut butter for decoration. Hope you guys enjoy this recipe and will use it for some fun and creative holiday treats!
